This deck surface was a combination of concrete, fiberglass strands and some type of rolled roofing material.
Water was getting through and causing damage to the underlayment.

The plywood seams and nail holes were sealed with polyester resin and then filled with milled fiber putty. We also sanded
the plywood seams smooth so that you will not see every sheet of wood through the fiberglass.

It has been replaced 2 times in the past 25 years. This picture shows the extensive water damage to the plywood
after only 11 years. We had to remove the old plywood and add sleepers to correct the pitch before installing 2
new layers of plywood.

Another picture of the finished gelcoat. This deck has 1 layer of 3/4" t/g plywood, 1 layer of 1/2" a/c fir plywood,
the fiberglass chopmat and gelcoat. Click on the picture to get a better view.

The fiberglass was sanded semi smooth before we applied the gelcoat to get rid of imperfections.
